Dr. Muhammad Umar Farooq Qaisar is an Associate Professor at the Hangzhou International Innovation Institute, Beihang University. He received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in Computer Science and Technology from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2022 and 2017, respectively, and his B.S. degree from the International Islamic University, Islamabad, in 2012. He previously served as an Associate Professor at the School of Computer Science, Northwestern Polytechnical University, from 2024 to 2025, and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of System Design and Intelligent Manufacturing, Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech), from 2022 to 2024.

Dr. Qaisar's research spans a wide range of wireless communication and networking systems, with a particular focus on the Internet of Things (IoT), Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), Wireless Rechargeable Sensor Networks (WRSNs), Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs), Software-Defined Networking (SDN), and Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC). His work is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and security of modern communication systems.

He has contributed extensively to the academic community as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for international conferences such as IEEE ICCCAS, MCSoC, and ICLT, and as a reviewer for leading journals, including IEEE JSAC, TMC, TGCN, TCE, IoT, IoT Magazine, JNCA, and JISA. He is currently serving as a Guest Editor for a special issue of Computers on "Shaping the Future of Green Networking: Integrated Approaches of Joint Intelligence, Communication, Sensing, and Resilience for 6G."
