面向航空航天、先进制造、固态制冷等领域，开展新型功能材料探索与应用研究，包括负/零膨胀、压热、辐射致冷等。在Adv. Mater., Adv. Funct. Mater., Small, Acta Mater., Phys. Rev. B等期刊发表SCI论文80余篇, SCI引用2200余次，H因子27（Web of Science），已授权国家发明专利9项。
